New BitTorrent Site Directory Released

The BitTorrent Site Directory has been upgraded with a new set of features and improvements.
Our BitTorrent site directory is a great resource to find the BitTorrent tracker site that is right for you. We categorize and list BitTorrent sites, offering visitors many different filtering, search and browsing options. On top of that, we monitor the status of every site in the directory and provide you with useful statistics.
The BitTorrent site directory offers a wide range of great features, just read on to find out what's new:
First, our tracking software has almost been completely rewritten. We are now able to monitor more trackers and provide more accurate and detailed information, such as (for all trackers together or one specific tracker):
- Highest number of active torrents ever seen
- Lowest number of active torrents ever seen
- Average number of active torrents
You can now view the evolution of the total number of active torrents on any tracker with the new graph that is automatically generated and updated.
Thumbnails of BitTorrent sites that are online are now automatically generated and updated, and for most sites the site logo has also been added. This adds some more color to the description pages and offers a preview of what to expect.
You can now quickly & easily rate a site using an AJAX star rating system that immediately shows the global rating in an attractive way.
Promoting your favorite BitTorrent site has been made easier by offering auto-generated XHTML code for your website, and BBCODE compatible with most message boards.
Last and definitely not least: we now monitor and check whether Private Tracker sites are allowing new registrations. This torrent tracker list makes it a lot easier to get into those private trackers you can't find an invite for. It really is a feature no one in the BitTorrent community can live without
The directory doesn't include all BitTorrent sites out there yet, but it is growing every day. The official version number I've slapped on it is 2.1, in full that reads: "FSZ Directory v2.1". I'm still planning new features for the next version, so suggestions and comments are more than welcome!
